Olathe Horticulture Research and Extension Center, 35230 W. 135th Street, Olathe, KS 66061.
Paul
Conway (Conway Produce) will discuss soil microclimate strategies utilized on
his farm to produce fall potatoes. Cary
Rivard will provide results from recent research into managing winter injury on
annual strawberries and Laura Christensen will cover practices used at Blue Door
Farm for fall crops.
We will
also tour the Olathe Research farm highlighting the various strategies used to protect
our crops from harsh growing conditions.
