This one-day session at the conference will focus on Farm Equipment 101.
There will also be a special session on welding that will take place off-site

Energized Farm Tractors and Equipment with Gilbert Lopez from Free Power
Systems – Gilbert will teach the specifics on how to turn your farm tractors
and equipment into solar units.
- Tractor
Mechanics 101 with Michael Kilpatrick from Kilpatrick Family Farms – Bring
your questions and wrenches and get to work! Michael will be conducting
this hands-on workshop on basic tractor mechanics.
- Walk-Behind
Tractors for Small-Scale Farms with Joel Dufour from Earth Tools – Learn
the basics about BCS walk behind tractors from Earth Tools, the original
dealers of BSC. Joel will be covering the basic settings for differing
crops, uses of the attachments and the how-to’s of maintaining this
equipment.
- Tractor Implements, Wheel Spacing & Systems for 5+ Acre Market Farms with Michael Kilpatrick from Kilpatrick Family Farms – Michael will teach tractor-based intensive market gardening using tractor wheel spacing, implements to reduce workloads, and other tips to help you farm successfully.
The
Beginning Welding & Farm Equipment 101 will take place as part of the
Missouri Organic Association’s Annual Conference that will be held at the
University Plaza Hotel in Springfield MO on February 6-8, 2014.
